Below par start for Real, but Ronaldo's back

It's been a slow start to the season for the reigning Champions League holders, who have drawn two of their three La Liga games.
Real had to come back from 2-1 down at home to Valencia, before snatching a late draw and also found themselves behind at the Bernabeu to Levante, before eventually drawing 1-1 at the weekend.
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently serving a five-match domestic ban after being sent off for pushing a referee in Madrid's Super Cup tie with Barcelona, but is free to play in European competition. There is less good news though for Karim Benzema, who could be out for a month after picking up an injury against Levante that could keep him out for a month.
APOEL have been through three rounds of qualifying games to reach the group stage, beating Slavia Prague en-route. This schedule has meant that they've only played one of their league games in Cyprus, kicking off the defence of their title with a 4-1 win over the weekend.

Back a brace for Cristiano

The last time that APOEL reached this stage of the competition, they gave a good account of themselves in away games against the likes of Barcelona and PSG - both of whom they only lost 1-0 to.
That said, it's hard to think that they won't be well beaten by a Real Madrid side that should be inspired by the return of Ronaldo. The Portuguese legend has scored an incredible 90 goals in 88 Champions League appearances for Madrid and backing him to nab two or more at 4/5 looks like the way to play this one.
