There were more casualties overnight with Muguruza and Cilic the latest seeds to make a much earlier than expected exit. One man that will not be leaving early… Federer, and he is back on court against Struff.

Men’s Wimbledon Feature Previews

Philipp Kohlschreiber v Kevin Anderson
Wimbledon has rarely been a happy hunting ground for Kohlschreiber. It is his worst performing slam and he has lost in the opening round 8 times. He won three tiebreakers to get past Muller but against a more complete player in Anderson, The Wolf says he will be blown off the court. Anderson is 3-0 in the H2H and has made the 4th round or better at 4 of the last 5 slams, including here last year. Kohlschreiber will not get a look in on the Anderson serve so we will be taking the South African to progress.
Best Bet: Anderson -3.5 ($1.80)
Sam Querrey v Gael MonfilsMonfils has never made it beyond the 3rd round of Wimbledon and he will have to play out of his skin to get past Querrey. The American has won 11 of his last 13 matches at the All England club and there should never be a concern over his form leading into the tournament. The clay court season is his time to refuel for the second half of the year and he will benefit from it starting at SW19. Both men will hold serve with relative ease and with 4 breakers already between them, we should see multiple breakers in this one. Overs, Overs, Overs!
Best Bet: Over 41.5 games ($1.85)
Roger Federer v Jan-Lennard Struff
The Wolf would like to commend Struff for his efforts thus far. Back to back five set victories over Mayer and Karlovic at Wimbledon don’t come easy. His problem… he must now put that behind him and play the match of his life against Federer. The Wolf cannot see him making any impression in this match. Federer is yet to drop a set and has played well under 3 hours of tennis. In comparison, Struff has already logged over 7.5 hours on court not to mention and additional 2 hours worth of doubles. You cannot have more on Federer to dismantle him in this one.
Best Bet: Under 30.5 games ($1.73)

Women’s Wimbledon Feature Previews

Karolina Pliskova v Mihaela BuzarnescuWith 5 of the top 6 women’s seeds already gone, the draw has opened up for Pliskova to make a run at a maiden Grand Slam. She made light work of Azarenka, winning 42% of return points. Buzarnescu will be put under pressure consistently on serve which will in turn take her focus away from handling Pliskova’s best weapon – the serve. The Wolf is surprised to see Pliskova at this price and says she should be much shorter.
Best Bet: Pliskova WIN ($1.50)
Kristina Mladenovic v Serena Williams
There were question marks over Serena’s conditioning after having played very little tennis, but she looked like the best player in the world in her win over Tomova. Her serve was on point and her groundstrokes were penetrating the court and pushing her opponent back behind the baseline. The Wolf cannot see Mladenovic dealing with the Williams power game and says Serena is growing in confidence with every match. The field has been put on notice!
Best Bet: S.Williams -4.5 ($1.80)
