Day 6 could be one of the most memorable for Australia in a long time with 5 Aussies in action. Kyrgios and Ebden will start favourites while De Minaur must play the match of his life to beat world number 1 Rafael Nadal. We also have two women in action with Barty and ‘Dasha’ both fancied to progress to the second week.

Men’s Wimbledon Feature Previews

Alex de Minaur v Rafael Nadal
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Aussie teenager Alex de Minaur’s idol is Lleyton Hewitt. Everything about his game screams Lleyton. From his size to his fight and his ability to maintain focused for each and every point. He faces an opponent that has built a legacy on the same terms – Rafael Nadal! We have seen the world number 1 struggle at Wimbledon in recent years but only against a particular type of opponent. Muller, Kyrgios and Rosol are among the recent men to beat him at SW19 and all have one major asset – a big serve. De Mianur does not and it is the reason why The Wolf cannot back him. Nadal will generate multiple breaks per set and that is more than sufficient to register a straight sets win. De Minaur will not be able to get enough cheap points and will be stuck in long baseline rallies – Rafa’s forte. Being on centre court will be a great experience for the young Aussie and The Wolf has no doubt that he will back there one day in the near future.
Best Bet: Sets Nadal 3-0 ($1.67)
Nick Kyrgios v Kei NishikoriHaase broke the Kyrgios serve twice in their second round match and it should have been more than enough for him to win a set and send the total Over! The Wolf is not taking a backward step and will again be launching into the Overs in a Kyrgios match. The Over has hit in 14 of his 22 matches this season with 12 of his last 20 sets being decided by a tiebreaker! Nishikori will also help The Wolfpack – he has won all 3 previous meetings between the pair and will not be pushed around the court in the baseline exchanges. He has wins over the Aussie in Maimi and Shanghaio – two fast surfaces that suit Nick’s game. Kyrgios has been serving lights out but there is NO WAY either man wins this in straight sets. The 5 chips are coming back out. Overs!!!
Best Bet: Over 40.5 games ($1.85)
Karen Khachanov v Frances Tiafoe
Djokovic and Del Potro may also be taking the court but one man requires our undivided attention – Karen Khachanov. He has got a seriously big game that is well suited to grass. He is in the 3rd round for the second year running here and was a semi finalist in Halle a year ago (lost to Federer).  This year at the same tournament he beat Mischa Zverevc and Nishikori. He was a title winner in Marseille earlier this year on a fast court and has been playing further up the court this week. He has a 17-5 record as a favourite in 2018 and will be making the second week of The Championships.
Best Bet: Khachanov WIN ($1.62)

Women’s Wimbledon Feature Previews

Ashleigh Barty v Daria KasatkinaBarty has been tearing up the grass courts over the last month. She has a 11-2 record on the surface in 2018 which includes a title winning run in Nottingham. She has brought that form with her to SW19 and is winning 77% of points behind her 1st serve. They are Serena-like numbers and the reason why Wolfy believes she will be making the second week of a major for the first time in her career. She could go much further with the winner to take on either Kontaveit or Van Uytvanck.
Best Bet: Barty WIN ($1.53)
Carla Suarez Navarro v Belinda Bencic
The Wolf is bypassing the Halep and Gavrilova matches for a reason… He has found a special! He says Suarez Navarro should be starting favourite against Bencic yet the market has them the other way around. Suarez Navarro has made the 4th round or better in 7 of her last 10 Grand Slam appearances and has made it beyond this stage at Wimbledon multiple times. Bencic has a 3-4 record this year and has a 35% record at the handicap in 2018. There is also another key stat that The Wolf cannot look past. Suarez Navarro is winning 69% if her second serve points at this tournament – more than any other woman! Her serve will be hard to break and we know just how creative she is from the baseline. Take her with the start!
Best Bet: Suarez Navarro +2.5 ($1.80)
