Three teams compete for second spot in Group C

Both Shakhtar Donetsk and Atalanta have the opportunity to book their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League when they meet on Wednesday.
Shakhtar are second in the group and a victory will ensure that they progress, but anything less gives a chance to third placed Dinamo Zagreb who host the group winners Manchester City. A win for an Atalanta side that are bottom of the group, will see them finish above Shakhtar and left hoping that Manchester City do not lose.
The hosts are in decent form. Unbeaten in seven (W4 D3), they have drawn each of their last three Champions League matches, including the away visit to Manchester City in their most recent outing. Another draw could be good enough to see Shakhtar through to the last-16.
Atalanta won their last Champions League game at home to Dinamo Zagreb and it has sparked some consistency in the Italians. They have now won their last three matches, beating Hellas Verona 3-2 at the weekend. That result has seen them move to within a point of fourth placed Cagliari in Serie A.

Quick start from motivated teams

This is one of the rare examples when the betting scales are perfectly even, with both teams available at 2.66 to win the match. If ever there was a sign of a match being too tight to call, this is it.
Goals and lots of them, seem easier to predict. Over 2.5 goals is a little short at 1.57, so go for over 1.5 first-half goals at 2.50. It's a bet that's landed in four out of Shakhtar's five Champions League games.
