What To Expect

Port Adelaide have been disappointing to date in the JLT Series, losing both their matches against St Kilda and Richmond. On each occasion they have named decent line-ups but are just missing touches of class around the park to take them to the next level. Chad Wingard hobbled off late against Richmond last week and has been put on ice for this weekend, though they do welcome back a host of small forwards in Young, Neade and White. The Hawks look like they have not got out of third gear this pre-season, defeating the Cats in week 1 before losing to a spirited North outfit in week 2. They have rested a few of their older stars in Hodge and Gibson who have nothing to prove, while also welcoming back Smith, Burgoyne and Birchall for a final hit out before round 1. These sides met in round 16, 2016 in Adelaide with the Hawks running out 22-point winners on that day. With a host of key in’s the Wolf can see the Hawks getting another win here.
