What To Expect

Besides a niggling injury to veteran Leigh Montagna, the Saints have gone all in at the selection desk to try and defeat the 2016 grand finalists. Coming off a 92-point win over Carlton last week, confidence will be high in the Saints camp and they will believe they can get there third win in a row in the JLT Series. Any side containing the likes of Franklin, Kennedy and Hannebery warrants immediate respect and the Saints know they’re in for a fight. The Swans will miss the midfield rotations of McVeigh, Heeney and Jack so emerging players Foote and Mills will need to fill the void. It’s a big game for young Swan Oliver Florent, who impressed the Wolf in his opening game and can sense a round one debut with the likes of Rohan and Papley to be unavailable. This match is being played at a neutral venue, so it holds very little advantage for either side. With the Saints making their intentions clear on a win at the selection desk, the Wolf is happy to stick with them again here and cause an upset.
