Atalanta v Dinamo Zagreb: Value lies with the visitors

Two teams in contrasting form

Atalanta and Dinamo Zagreb still have all to play for in Group C, which has been dominated by the leaders Manchester City.

It's been a tough introduction to the Champions League group stages for Atalanta, who lost their first three games. They have given themselves a slither of hope by being the first team to take a point against Manchester City, when they drew 1-1 in their most recent match in Group C.

The Italians need to take maximum points from their next two games, which would give them a strong chance of finishing third and qualifying for the Europa League and could even see them finish second and making the knockout stages. However, their current form in Serie A does not suggest this will be easy. Atalanta are without a win in four league games (D2 L2) and have slipped down to sixth in the table.

Dinamo Zagreb are in better shape. Unbeaten in ten matches (W6 D4), they lead the 1. HNL Table by four points, after their 1-1 home draw with second placed Hajduk Split on Saturday.

Zagreb the value pick

Considering both Atalanta's current form and their results in the Champions League, it's hard to see why they are such short priced favourites at 1.62.

Zagreb are no pushovers away from home. Manchester City could only beat them 2-0 with two late goals, while they earned a 2-2 draw at Shakhtar Donetsk.

The value clearly lies with Dinamo Zagreb, who won the reverse fixture 4-0. Their odds are big enough that you can back them to merely avoid defeat in the Double Chance market and still get a favourable price of 2.58.
