Galatasaray v Club Brugge: Another low scoring match in Turkey

Dan Fitch can't see why goals are expected when Galatasaray host Club Brugge and is backing less than three being scored.

Galatasaray yet to score in Champions League

Club Brugge still have a mathematical chance of reaching the knockout stages of the Champions League, but realistically this game will help to determine which side finishes bottom of Group A and who drops down into the Europa League with a third place finish.
It's Brugge that currently occupy that Europa League slot with two points (P4 W0 D2 L2). One of their draws came in the reverse fixture, which finished 0-0. Now Galatasaray have the home advantage, but given their current form they may not be able to capitalise on the situation.
That draw with Club Brugge is Galatasaray's only point in the competition so far (P4 W0 D1 L3). They have failed to score a single goal in four matches and are also struggling domestically. A summer recruitment spree which saw them sign a number of older, experienced players, has not proven to be a success, with Gala currently eighth in Turkey's Super Lig, losing 1-0 at home to Istanbul Basaksehir at the weekend.
Club Brugge are faring much better in their home league. They lead the Belgian First Division A by six points and come into this match off the back of a 2-0 home win over Oostende.

Another low scoring game between these sides

Galatasaray's poor form is demonstrated by the fact that it is Club Brugge that are the narrow favourites at 2.64.
While that price makes sense, one that doesn't is the 2.08 on offer for under 2.5 goals. Galatasaray may have lost 6-0 in their last Champions League match, but that was away to Real Madrid.
Gala restricted both Real and PSG to 1-0 victories when they hosted them, which means three of their four games have seen under 2.5 goals land.
