It was a day to enjoy for travelling fans in the Premier League as six away sides won and the other drew - a set of results that have placed immense pressure on Unai Emery, Manuel Pellegrini and Marco Silva...

Spurs get debut win for Mourinho

The Premier League day began at West Ham when not only did we have a fierce London derby to enjoy but also the debut game as Tottenham Hotspur manager for Jose Mourinho.

And for 60 minutes the Portuguese boss would have been in dreamland as Spurs swept aside a woeful West Ham side to establish a 3-0 lead. Heung Min-Son fired the visitors into a lead before delivering a delicious cross onto Lucas Moura's toe to double the advantage. Harry Kane was next on the act

But a brittleness had crept into Spurs' game under Mauricio Pochettino, especially away from home, and was a large part of the decision to sack the Argentine.

So it was not a surprise to watching Spurs fans that the home side found a way back into the game with Michail Antonio a menace in particular. The England winger smashed home the initial goal of the Hamers' comeback before Angelo Ogbonna stabbed in a second. That effort came just too late for West Ham to capitalise but the late nerves will certainly give Mourinho an idea of what needs fixing at his new side.

Achieving Champions League qualification is Mourinho's chief goal and Spurs are 3.45 to finish in the top four, although an away win for the second-placed Leicester means the Foxes stay well clear of Spurs. Ayoze Perez and Jamie Vardy were the scorers in a 2-0 win for Brendan Rodgers' side who are now 1.60 to occupy a slot in the top four at the end of the season and 34.00 to achieve that via another title. Just like 2015-16 Leicester have been backed at the Exchange's maximum price of 1000.00.

Late show for Liverpool while City come from behind

Leaders Liverpool kept up their winning run but were once again tested by the notoriously tricky Crystal Palace. The home side looked to have pegged back Jurgen Klopp's title favourites when Wilfried Zaha looked to have cancelled out Sadio Mane's opener with an 82nd minute finish.

But it took Liverpool just three minutes to turn it around, Roberto Firmino scoring the winner to reward in-play backers at a high of 4.60. Klopp's side are [1.51 to win the league.

Defending champions Manchester City needed to come from behind against a brave young Chelsea side who showed no fear at the Etihad.

The Blues took a lead through N'Golo Kante but were pegged back by Kevin de Bruyne and then went behind after Riyad Mahrez pulled off a fine solo effort. City were backed at 2.38 when trailing. The current champions are 3.45 to win the league.

Last minute goal saves Arsenal's blushes

The biggest story of the day almost certainly came in north London, however, where lowly Southampton came within two minutes of inflicting a 2-1 defeat of Arsenal. It took a 95th minute equaliser from the home side to pull back a tiny scrap of pride.

The draw was backed at 11.00 on the Betfair Exchange.

The result nevertheless places Unai Emery under immense pressure. The Spaniard is the 2/1 favourite to be next Premier League manager out of a job.

Silva 7/2 in sack race

Maybe the real story was at Goodison where Norwich, on a game seven-game winless streak in which six of the games were lost, beat Everton 2-0. Norwich were backed at 10.00 just to win while the final score was backed at a chunky 85.00 in-play.

The Everton manager is 7/2 to be next top-flight manager sacked. West Ham's Manuel Pellegrini is the other likely candidate, splitting Emery and Silva, at 9/4.

Wolves and Burnley victorious

Elsewhere, Watford dropped to the bottom of the league after a 3-0 defeat by Burnley while Wolves climbed into fifth thanks to a 2-1 defeat of 10-man Bournemouth. The Hornets are 1.60 to be relegated. Wolves can be backed at 15.00 for a top four finish.
