Crucial match for both teams

Zenit host Lyon on Wednesday with all still to play for in Group G.
A win for second placed Lyon would see them qualify for the knockout stages. If Zenit win they will move level on points with Lyon and ahead of them into the second qualification spot, thanks to a superior head-to-head record.
Zenit have slipped down the group table after losing both of their matches against RB Leipzig. Prior to those defeats they were in a strong position, with an away draw at Lyon and a home victory over Benfica. Since losing at home to Leipzig in their last Champions League outing, the side have bounced back with wins over Arsenal Tula and Rubin Kazan.
Lyon's form has started to improve since they appointed Rudi Garcia as manager in October. They have now won four of their last five games, which included a 3-1 home victory over Benfica. At the weekend they beat Nice 2-1, despite being reduced to ten men from the 34th minute after Fernando Marcal was sent off.

Goals easier to predict that result

Home advantage makes Zenit the worthy favourites, but the 2.38 on offer is a little short in a tight group where results have been hard to predict.
Both teams to score is also a little shorter than is ideal, but should land at 1.68. Lyon might have improved under Garcia, yet they are still conceding regularly. Both teams to score has been a winning bet in each of their last four matches and has also delivered in three of their four Champions League games this season.
Zenit have conceded in all four of their group games. This trend continued at the weekend when they beat Rubin Kazan 2-1.
