Nancy v Montpellier (11th v 14th)
Sat, 19:00 GMT

Montpellier may have lost 2-1 at home to Ligue 1 leaders Monaco on Wednesday night but they finished the game strongly enough to suggest they'll avoid defeat this weekend.

It was new manager Jean-Louis Gasset's second game in charge at Montpellier and the early signs are that his appointment has given the players a real boost after the chaos of the final days of his predecessor Frederic Hantz's reign. Montpellier ran out 2-1 winners over Bastia in Gasset's first game in charge and gave Monaco a tougher game than virtually any other Ligue 1 side has in recent weeks.

Hosts Nancy lost 4-0 at Lyon in midweek so may still be licking their wounds. They also lost their last home match, 2-0 to Bordeaux, and have lost four of their last five fixtures in all competitions.

Yet Nancy are strong favourites (2.56) to win, which makes little sense based on the mood and form of the two sets of players going into the game. With our selection you'll make a profit as long as Montpellier avoid defeat.

Toulouse v Bastia (10th v 19th)
Sat, 19:00 GMT

Toulouse did great business in the January transfer window and have already reaped rewards with two good performances since the start of February.

They thrashed Angers 4-0 last weekend and continued their recovery from a poor period of form by picking up a useful point at a Lorient side battling for their lives in midweek (1-1). Toulouse's decision to dramatically strengthen their attacking line-up by adding former Wigan Athletic striker Andy Delort and France U21 international Corentin Jean (on loan) during the window is paying off, with Toulouse looking a far more fluent and dangerous side with those two added to the Starting XI.

Having won so handsomely at home to Angers last weekend Toulouse will be confident of collecting another 3pts here, especially as visitors Bastia are in all sorts of trouble. Without a win in their last six matches in all competitions (W0-D2-L4), Bastia also have appalling away record (W2-D1-L8), which is another reason why they may struggle to halt the onslaught from a newly offensive Toulouse line-up.

The hosts' price of close to evens is worth taking.

Nantes v Marseille (15th v 6th)
Sun, 20:00 GMT
Live on BT Sport 3

Marseille's odds-against price to win at Nantes looks too big, making the visitors worth backing on Sunday night.

Nantes have been a lot more solid and well-organised since Sergio Conceicao was appointed manager in December but the Portuguese has been powerless to improve their attacking woes. Disappointed that he failed to sign new forwards during the transfer window, Conceicao is having to make do with the sub-par strikers that were already on the club's books.

Yacine Bammou, Emiliano Sala and Mariusz Stepinski have managed just nine goals in 54 Ligue 1 starts between them this season. It's little surprise Nantes, the division's lowest scorers, have netted just six times in seven Ligue 1 fixtures since Conceicao took charge.

Facing such a feeble attack makes Marseille's task easier. Rudi Garcia's side lost meekly at Metz (1-0) last weekend but bounced back to earn an impressive and deserved 2-0 win over Guingamp in midweek. Dimitri Payet scored his first goal since returning to Marseille in that match, and the fact the ex-West Ham winger looked sharp, alert and fit increases the visitors' chances of collecting all 3pts.

You can back Marseille to win at 2.42 or with a -0&-0.5 start on the Asian handicap at 2.02. With the second selection you'll lose only half your stakes should the game end in a draw.
