Lucas Pouille v Diego Schwartzman

There really is no way to explain what has happened in the bottom half of the draw. Thiem is the highest remaining seed and with Schwartzman knocking out Cilic we will now have a maiden Grand Slam finalist. The Argentine has taken full advantage of the speed of the courts and is shaping as a real dark horse to make a very deep run. His ability to deal with heavy servers makes him a genuine threat. Pouille got past Kukushkin after a slow start but The Wolf is concerned after seeing some real inconsistencies in his performances. Schwartzman is the value bet here.

Best: Schwartzman WIN ($2.10)

Paolo Lorenzi v Kevin Anderson

Anderson has been the most dominant player on serve in the tournament. He remains the only player not to have dropped his serve and has not gone close to dropping a set. Lorenzi has had a great run but with Anderson serving as he is and holding a 3-0 edge in the H2H Wolfy cannot see the South African being challenged.

Best: Sets Anderson 3-0 ($1.80)

Denis Shapovalov v Pablo Carreno-Busta

Shapovalov is no flash in the pan… this kid will be around for a long time! He has a pure tennis brain and The Wolf says he can’t remember the last time a teenager came on the tour with the same point construction ability as the Canadian. Carreno-Busta has been aided by a very easy run and he will be caught off guard by a rampaging Shapovalov. The teenager is on a roll and his fearless style is here to stay. It will take some effort to beat him.

Best: Shapovalov -1.5 ($1.85)

Sam Querrey v Mischa Zverev

Mischa’s younger brother Alexander may be winning titles but it is Mischa who is seeking to make his second Grand Slam quarter final of the season. He surprisingly made light work of Isner with the American troubled by a shoulder/neck problem and will look to play the role of spoiler yet again. The crowd will be right behind Querrey but The Wolf likes this matchup for Zverev. Having just played Isner he will employ identical tactics against Querrey who has a similar and virtually identical game to his countryman. Zverev is a huge price and a great bet at the line.

Best: Zverev +3.5 ($1.91)
