Newcastle v Wellington – (Sat 7:50pm)
The Jets are proving to be a real surprise packet and there are several reasons why they remain undefeated. To begin with they lead the league in goals scored (10), have scored in all 4 matches this season and have claimed points on 3 occasions after conceding first. There is a reason why The Wolf continues to make references to their font three. O’Donovan leads the A-League in goals scored (5), Nabbout is equal first in assists (3) and Petratos has earned his side 4 points in their last two matches with crucial goals. The alarm bells are ringing for the Phoenix who have conceded 7 goals in their last 3 matches and blew a 3 goal lead at home to Brisbane last week. The Jets have scored multiple goals in each of their last 3 at home to the Phoenix and that was with a lackluster attack. As the new entertainers of the A-League The Wolf is expecting a real show.
Best Bet: Newcastle WIN ($2.00)
Value Bet: Newcastle Over 2.5 goals ($3.50)
Perth v Adelaide – (Sat 10:00pm)The Glory were disappointing last week against Sydney FC and created very little. Torres and Andreu were completely outplayed in the centre of the park but will have a much easier time this week with Adelaide set to be missing up to 6 members from their starting XI. Diawara, Lia and Gulum will be missing but the biggest loss for The Reds is Danish winger Absalonsen. His clinical finishing was sorely missed last week as Adelaide squandered a number of chances. With Blackwood also in question after sustaining a cork they look very short in stocks up front. In contrast Perth have Keogh and Taggart – two of the most efficient strikers in the A-League. They had no service last week but the Glory are a different side at home. This will be just their second home game of the season! They have won 7 of 9 A-League matches at home with the Over going 12-1 in the last 13 at nib Stadium. The venue is a goal scorers paradise and Perth have score multiple goals in 18 of their last 21 A-League matches at the ground. The Wolf said we would ride Adelaide in the early parts of the season but with a stack of injuries including that of Absalonses we will have to push the chips in behind Perth.
Best Bet: Perth WIN ($2.15)
Value Bet: Perth Score Both Halves ($2.75)
Brisbane v Central Coast – (Sun 5:00pm)
The Roar may have registered their first point of the season in Wellington but their streak of conceding multiple goals in every match this season continued. Conceding goals is something the Mariners are all too familiar with – especially against Brisbane. The Wolf has been off the Roar all year but notes that they have won their last 8 against the Mariners. The manner of the wins at Suncorp has been dominant to say the least. Brisbane have scored 17 goals in their last 4 games at home to the Central Coast and a second half flurry against the Phoenix will give them confidence. Brisbane to overtake the Mariners on the ladder by claiming all 3 points.
Best Bet: Brisbane WIN ($1.85)

Value Bet: Over 4.5 goals ($3.75)
Melbourne Victory v Western Sydney – (Sun 7:50pm)Since their inception the Wanderer have had a certain steel about them – a never say die attitude and a ‘us against them’ mentality. It has not been present this season though… They have been in a winning position in all 4 of their matches but claimed just the single win. They blew a 2 goals lead against Sydney FC a fortnight and last week conceded midway through the second half to again drop points. They now face a Victory side that is still in search of it’s first win of the season. Berisha will again be missing due to suspension leaving Leroy George to spearhead the attack. The Victory are yet to maintain a clean sheet this season and there is no doubt that this will be priority one for Kevin Muscat. It is an area which they have had continued success with against WEstern Sydney. The Victory have maintained 4 consecutive clean sheets against the Wanderers and conceded just the 1 goal in the last 7 A-League clashed between them. It is a statistical anomaly that The Wolf is willing to follow.
Best Bet: Melbourne Victory WIN ($2.40)
Value Bet: Teams To Score – Melbourne Vic Only ($4.50)
