A win for Besiktas over Monaco could see the Turkish giants book their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
The outsiders in Group G have won all three of their games, including a 2-1 victory at Monaco in the last round of matches. Their performance builds upon a decent showing in last season's competition, in which they very much held their own in a group that included Benfica and Napoli.
Perhaps it's no surprise that Besiktas are doing so well in the competition when you consider that Senol Gunes has recruited so many veteran players with considerable Champions League experience. This summer they signed the three-time winner Pepe, adding to a roster that already included fellow Champions League winners Adriano and Ricardo Quaresma.
Monaco's Champions League form is more baffling. While you would expect there to be a dip after losing so many top players this summer, one point from three games is a poor return when Monaco's Ligue 1 form has held up surprisingly well. Currently second and only four points behind the leaders PSG, last season's Champions League semi-finalists won away at Bordeaux over the weekend.
Fourth Besiktas win is still great value
Besiktas are the favourites at 2.34, with Monaco at 3.25 and the draw at 3.70.
Monaco simply have to win this match to stand any chance of qualification for the knockout stages, which should ensure an open match and chances for the hosts. Besiktas are a big price considering their record this season, which means that you can even back them draw no bet and get reasonable odds of 1.70.
If you're looking for a bigger price, you might want to back the Besiktas win and over 2.5 goals double at 3.40. Besiktas have broken the 2.5 goals barrier in two of their three Champions League victories this season.
