Australia A league betting : Western United vs Sydney FC

The wheels look like they’re starting to fall off at Western United as their honeymoon period in their inaugural A-League season has certainly ended. They’ve now lost back-to-back games against poor opposition and are in danger of slipping outside the top six if they can’t turn things around. On the other hand, Sydney FC continue to impress and made light work of Perth Glory last weekend in the Grand Final rematch. Sydney were clinical in front of goal in their 3-1 away win, which made it three wins on the spin for the champs. Western United are yet to keep a clean sheet at home this season and they’re goalless in their last two games, however, Sydney FC have been conceding with regularity of late, so the Wolf expects there to be plenty of goals in this one.

While the champions are in excellent touch, the same can’t be said about United who have lost two on the spin after their shock 1-0 defeat to the Mariners on Sunday.
Even with the likes of Alessandro Diamanti, Besart Berisha and Scott McDonald in their side, United haven’t found the net in the last 212 minutes of play.
Slow starts have affected Mark Rudan’s side for much of the campaign and if that continues against Sydney, it could be a tough afternoon for the hosts.

The Wolf continues his focus on the Western United vs Sydney FC fixture for his value play of the round. As mentioned above, he expects both sides to have plenty of opportunities to hit the back of the net. In saying that, he also likes Sydney FC to get the chocolates, which makes the Sydney Win and Both Teams to Score market appeal as a great value option. He sees the most likely scoreline being a 3-1 win for the travelling Sydney FC.
Recommend Bet: Sydney FC Win & Both Teams to Score ($4.25)
