Arsenal have been alerted to the possible availability of Bayern Munich attacker Mario Gotze after reports emerged regarding his relationship with Pep Guardiola, according to the Daily Express.
The German World Cup winner is entering his third season at the Allianz Arena following his move from Borussia Dortmund although there is speculation that it could be his last.

According to the Express’ report Gotze is believed to have a difficult relationship with Bayern boss Guardiola which has alerted Arsenal.
The Gunners already have a number of attacking options with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil all available to Arsene Wenger. However, a player of Gotze’s pedigree could be too good to turn down should he become available.
The 23-year-old was involved in Bayern’s opening Bundesliga victory over Hamburg with Gotze coming on as a substitute in the 5-0 mauling.
Gotze was Bayern’s fourth highest scorer last season with nine league goals to his name in 32 Bundesliga appearances. Away from goalscoring the playmaker also had a big impact having created 45 chances, with only Arjen Robben creating more (50).
Arsene Wenger is yet to significantly dip into his transfer reserves this summer with Petr Cech the only major arrival. With the funds seemingly available a move for Gotze, who earns £12m a year at Bayern (ESPN FC) could be on the cards should he become available.
The Express reports that Manchester City are also tracking the German’s situation at Bayern meaning Arsenal may face competition should they make a move.
