Gokhan Inler joined Leicester because he likes the way they scrap.
The 31-year-old Switzerland midfielder says the Foxes' fighting spirit persuaded him to pit his wits in the Premier League.
Inler has joined Leicester, who are second in the table after two wins from their opening two fixtures, in a £5m deal from Napoli and could get his baptism in Saturday's home clash with Tottenham.
Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri is delighted to get the man who has skippered Switzerland in two World Cups.
He hopes Inler, who will take the No33 shirt, can have the same effect as Argentina ace Esteban Cambiasso who left in the summer.
Inler said: "For me it was not so easy because I had many, many teams after me but in the end I decided with my heart. I've seen some games and this team fights for every minute and I like it because the fans want this. We must show them this every game on the pitch.
"I feel this is like a family. I like the way the fans are behind the team, my impression was very positive.

"The manager was also important in my thinking. For me the whole package was very positive because they wanted me and now I'll give everything."
Inler is ready to be thrown straight into the action if called upon, but he may have to wait after Ranieri was given the perfect start with wins over Sunderland and West Ham and he has already signed N'Golo Kante from Caen.
Inler added: "I'm ready. I had a good preparation in pre-season and now I'm ready to give everything for this club.
"My quality will be to provide the passes to the front and with the fast players we've got it will be a great mix.
"In Italy everybody speaks about the tactics but English football is fast both physically and tactically. I'm in the best league in the world and I'm happy."
The midfielder has signed a three-year deal at the King Power Stadium to become the Foxes' sixth signing of the summer.
