Bayern Munich have no intention of selling World Cup-winning midfielder Mario Gotze this summer, according to sporting director Matthias Sammer.
Reports in Germany have suggested the 23-year-old has a fractious relationship with Pep Guardiola, although the Germany international backtracked on comments he made suggesting the head coach should talk to him more.
He also said "there are always two sides to everything" when asked about his future with the German giants.
Sammer urged Gotze to keep his head down and work hard for the Bundesliga champions, while insisting the playmaker will not be allowed to leave Allianz-Arena.
"Mario has a contract for another two years," Bayern's sporting director told reporters. "He knows the situation here.
"I expect him to push through and to show the will to push through here. He wants that. Do not forget he still is a very young player.
"We have a big squad with great quality, it is normal to have thoughts."
The Bavarians are hoping to become the first German side to win a fourth straight Bundesliga title, but Guardiola has found his tenure come under the spotlight.
The former Barcelona coach was jeered by small sections of the club's supporters before the win over Real Madrid in the Audi Cup, but Sammer said Guardiola still had the backing of Allianz-Arena officials.
He added: "Every day, every second I can see how he is fighting. We are preparing for a difficult season.
"Bayern Munich is always under pressure and in this phase, this gets mirrored. Sure he is petulant, but he has the right to be, because he is so focussed."
Bayern Munich are currently priced 1/10 to win next season's Bundesliga and quoted 9/2 in the Champions League outright betting.
