West Coast coach Adam Simpson said he expected defender Jeremy McGovern to miss multiple weeks with his latest hamstring injury.

McGovern re-injured his left hamstring in last Saturday's 14-point loss to Hawthorn at Subiaco Oval, with the full extent of the injury to be known by Tuesday afternoon.

Simpson said the early signs were not great.

"I would assume he'd miss multiple weeks," Simpson told Perth radio station 6PR.
Two-match defender Tom Barrass is expected to replace McGovern.

The Eagles will also be without star forward Mark LeCras for Sunday's Derby against Fremantle.

LeCras was slapped with a one-match ban for his clumsy head-high bump on Hawks defender James Frawley.

Simpson said he was still unsure whether star ruckman Nic Naitanui will be able to play against the Dockers.

Naitanui flew to Fiji last Saturday following the death of his mother.

"He's in Fiji at the moment and needs to arrange the funeral," Simpson said.
"We need to get the balance right between respecting his family and what he's got to go through, and how quickly we can get him back.

"We've backed away.
"We'll leave it up to him and his family to go through the right procedures, and then we'll act off that."

In better news for the Eagles, ruckman Callum Sinclair is on track to return from a knee niggle.

Fremantle is set to recall star midfielder Nat Fyfe (groin), while Michael Johnson is a chance to play his first match since tearing his hamstring in round 10.

All-Australian backman Luke McPharlin remains in doubt after suffering a corked calf in last week's win over St Kilda.

Fremantle sits 10 points clear on top of the table, while the second-placed Eagles are now just two points ahead of Hawthorn.
