Monaco end drought, but Atletico loom large

After a disastrous 16-match run without a victory (D5 L11) Monaco finally won at the weekend, as they claimed a 1-0 victory away at Caen.
With Caen without a win in seven matches themselves, Monaco have much to prove before they can claim to have turned any corner. In the last round of Champions League matches, they were humiliated 4-0 at home to Club Brugge and having only claimed one point from four games in Group A, even a third place finish and Europa League qualification seems unlikely.
That's probably for the best, because right now avoiding relegation must be the priority for Thierry Henry's team. Atletico Madrid should hasten that exit from Europe, as the Spanish side are in good form.
Since losing 4-0 away at Borussia Dortmund in October, Atletico are unbeaten in six, which includes a 2-0 win over the Bundesliga giants in the reverse fixture at home. At the weekend they almost beat Barcelona before conceding a last minute equaliser and are currently two points behind the La Liga leaders Sevilla.

Shut out win for Atletico

With Atletico at an unsurprisingly short price for a straight win, it's hard to find much value in a match where the result seems fairly certain.
One apparently safe route would be to back Atletico to win to nil at 1.67. They kept a clean sheet in their last Champions League match against Dortmund's in-form attack and prior to their weekend goal against Caen, the visitors had not scored in three games.
