Ronaldo starts to exert influence

Juventus let a lead slip in the final minutes of their last Champions League match against Manchester United and leaving Group H delicately poised.
The Italians still lead the group, but that could easily change if they fail to win their last home match against Valencia. With Juve eight points clear and unbeaten at the top of Serie A, their loss to Manchester United appears to be a hiccup rather than signs of genuine problems and they should go into this match confident of returning to winning ways.
Juventus have won their last two matches 2-0 and Cristiano Ronaldo's influence at the club continues to grow. After a slow start by his own outstanding standards, Ronaldo has now scored in each of the last three matches, bringing his total contribution to ten goals in 16 appearances.
A win for Valencia in their last match against Young Boys, has given the La Liga side a chance of making the knockout stages, though they will probably have to avoid defeat. They come into this match off the back of three straight wins, but this is a big step up in class, with Juventus having won the reverse fixture 2-0.

Move from Real Madrid has not signalled a decline

Since Ronaldo moved to Juventus from Real Madrid, his price to find the net in games has typically been bigger than it would have been at the Bernabeu.
Perhaps at 33-years old, there is a sense that Ronaldo should be slowing down, but five goals in his last five games does not suggest that this is the case. If Real Madrid were playing Valencia last season, it's unlikely that Ronaldo would have been on offer to score at a price as big as 1.88 and it's wise to take advantage of such odds while you still can.
