One player who has been consistently linked with a move this summer, is Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, with a number of clubs said to be in for his signature.
As the Naples-based Serie A side failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League, the likelihood is that he may leave, though will take his time deciding on the right offer.
In anticipation of his exit, Coral preview the odds on five possible clubs that he may move to and weigh up each possibility.
Manchester United: 5/2
United are the slight favourites, as they are actively looking for a striker who fits the bill, however, the Red Devils are pursuing other avenues of inquiry. Similar in style to their former forward Carlos Tevez, who struck up a great partnership with Wayne Rooney, should Higuain move to Old Trafford, an on-field relationship of the same vein could develop.
Arsenal: 7/2
Also understood to be tracking a frontman, to complement Olivier Giroud, Arsenal could well make a move, if Arsene Wenger decides that he is the right man. Thought to be interested in landing him when he was deemed surplus to requirements by Real Madrid, the Gunners could be more successful this time around.
PSG: 6/1
Never far from the news when it comes to players of interest, the Ligue 1 victors harbour ambitions of winning the Champions League and a player of Higuain’s quality would certainly help them to do so. Should Edinson Cavani leave this summer, he could be an ideal replacement.
Juventus: 8/1
If he decides to stay in Italy, a more likely destination could be last season’s Champions League runners-up and would be a great replacement for Tevez, who recently signed for Boca Juniors. Would slot straight in at the Old Lady and can hit the ground running.
Liverpool: 12/1
There were reports earlier in the summer that the player was “desperate” to join the Reds and should Brendan Rodgers decide to make a move, his arrival on Anfield would receive a big welcome and the prospect of him linking up with new signing Roberto Firmino could be mouthwatering for fans.
