Geelong skipper Joel Selwood has accepted a one-match ban for his chicken-wing tackle on North Melbourne's Sam Wright.

Joel Selwood has reluctantly accepted a one-match ban for his chicken-wing tackle on North Melbourne's Sam Wright, ruling the Geelong skipper out of Saturday's important clash against the Western Bulldogs.

Selwood would have been sidelined for two matches had he unsuccessfully challenged the charge at the AFL Tribunal.

Collingwood onballer Taylor Adams has accepted a two-match sanction for kneeing Port Adelaide's Justin Westhoff in the head.
The tribunal will not sit on Tuesday night as all other cited players accepted their punishments.
