Chad Townsend highlighted the Warriors' strength in depth, after the Auckland club picked up their sixth win in eight games by beating the Melbourne Storm 28-14.
Andrew McFadden's side consolidated their place in the NRL top four with a third consecutive victory at Mt Smart Stadium.
They did so without record try scorer Manu Vatuvei, Ryan Hoffman and Konrad Hurrell - three of their most influential players who withdrew through injury.
The fact that Jonathan Wright, David Fusitu'a and Raymond Faitala Mariner were able to come in as effective replacements was a major plus for the club, says Townsend.
The five-eighth said: "The Warriors have always been known to have a lot of youngsters coming through and this game showed that our depth is pretty strong.
"You expect that the next man coming up to do a job can get it done like the senior boys, so that's a positive sign."
The home side scored the first three tries of the game to take a commanding 16-0 lead into the break.
Melbourne hit back with three tries in a 15-minute period in the second half, Kenny Bromwich going over twice. But the Warriors didn't buckle, with Tuimoala Lolohea scoring his second try of the match and Shaun Johnson adding another.
"The good teams, that's what they'll do, they'll come back at you and you've got to resist that," said Townsend. "We showed that we can do that and we're heading in the right direction."
The Warriors are 3.20 to win their next game against Sydney Roosters, who are 1.36.
In-form playmaker Johnson wrapped up the victory with a superb solo try with 13 minute left, but the try that had everyone talking was Lolohea's second.
It came when hooker Nathan Friend gathered in a kick and delivered a pass between his legs as he fell over. Johnson continued the attack with a back-flip and Lolohea dived over.
