What To Expect
The Blues have made their intentions clear at the selection desk leaving out their skipper Murphy, while also handing rests to Gibbs, Kreuzer and half back duo Simpson and Docherty. This doesn’t shape up well for the Blues who were handed a footballing lesson by Melbourne last week, going down by 54 points. What is more alarming is the fact that the five players mentioned earlier missing from this game, all played in that defeat. St Kilda is coming off a nail biter against the Power, where they lead early only to see the Power continue to fight back into the match. They too are missing a few experienced heads, though their depth is far greater than the Blues. The line is set at -18.5 here which is large for a pre-season hit out, though I can see the Saints going on with the job here.
