NRL Preview
Manly Sea Eagles v Canberra Raiders

Sunday, June 4, 2pm (AEST), Lottoland, Sydney

The Sea Eagles will be looking to do the double over the Raiders after their thrilling golden point win in Canberra back in Round 8. Trent Barrett’s men along with the Dragons have been the surprise packets this season. The Sea Eagles have Jake Trbojevic and Nate Myles playing Origin 1, while the Raiders have the one Origin representative in Josh Papalii.
History
The Sea Eagles defeated the Raiders 20-18 in a controversial golden point clash in Round 8 and have a dominant record over Canberra winning 14 of 19 matches dating back to 2004. The last seven matches between the teams have all topped 38 points. Manly have won 6 of the last 8 at Brookvale.
Form
Manly have moved into sixth place with a 6-5 record. Manly rank third in attack and seventh in defence so their position is no fluke. Manly have won 3 of their last 4 before the bye including an impressive 30-10 win away to the Titans. The Sea Eagles have scored 20-plus in 4 of their last 5. Canberra rank fourth in attack and eighth in defence and sit eighth on the ladder with a 6-6 record. The Raiders bounced back after a shock loss to Newcastle with wins over Parramatta and the Sydney Roosters. Canberra have conceded at least 16 in 10 of 12 games this year including their last five.
Key Matchup
Martin Taupau v Shannon Boyd. The Wolf can see some fireworks taking place in the engine room here and can’t wait to see Taupau and Boyd take each other on. Taupau has been sensational for the Sea Eagles this season, offloading and breaking tackles at will. He’s a human wrecking ball that will need stopping by the Raiders pack. Boyd was very strong in last week’s win over the Roosters, making 15 hitups and 30 tackles. He played more minutes than usual last week and had plenty of impact. Let the big boys go at each other!

Final Thoughts
The Wolf sees this one as a coin toss, however the home ground factor and the Sea Eagles dominant record over the Green Machine sways this one in their favour. The Wolf’s best bet is the overs. Both teams like to throw the football around and the last seven matches have been high-scoring affairs.
