Inconsistent Cherries

Bournemouth are one of the Premier League's most inconsistently consistent teams. Just before last Christmas, Eddie Howe's men put a run of three wins out of five games together - including a seven-goal thriller against Liverpool - to put them in the top 10 at the half-way stage of the season.
A horrendous run that followed after Christmas - including an eight-game winless streak - saw the south coast club plummet to 16th in the table and Howe is lucky that his board were not as trigger-happy as some others in the top flight. Their faith was vindicated with five more undefeated games at the end of the season which guaranteed safety and another chance to build.
But this season started off badly again despite investment in the likes of Nathan Ake and Jermain Defoe in the summer with four defeats from the first four - and only one win in their first seven games. Then came a good run again with three wins from four.
With Burnley, Southampton and Crystal Palace coming up next, Howe will hope his side can continue their rich vein of form before they face Manchester United, Liverpool and league leaders Manchester City within the space of 10 days next month.

Clarets' new found away form

Another week has passed and somehow Burnley still have Sean Dyche as their manager. The 46-year-old has been linked with a series of high-profile jobs in recents weeks and after leading a club with one of the league's smallest budgets to Premier League safety last year and as high as seventh this season it is not hard to see why.
The Clarets have been in great form, putting together a run of three league wins in a row which was cruelly ended by yet another controversial stoppage time winner for Arsenal on Sunday. After that game Arsene Wenger praised his counterpart for putting together a team which is "very organised, clever, intelligent and direct", and said he was not surprised they are riding so high in the table.
Where Burnley struggled last year was on the road, picking up just seven of their 40 points away from Turf Moor. But this season they have matched their excellent home form with results away too - taking 11 points from each. Dyche will be hoping to improve that record on Wednesday night.

Surprising to see Burnley so long

Bournemouth have been in fairly good form in recent weeks, but they have been aided by a relatively easy run of fixtures. Wins over Stoke, Newcastle and Huddersfield have been mixed with defeat to Chelsea and a drab goalless draw with Swansea at the weekend.
The Cherries have struggled to cause upsets against the league's high-flyers and are winless in 11 matches against sides starting the day in the top seven since that aforementioned win over Liverpool.
It is therefore a surprise to see them as short as 2.00 for this game with the visitors a tasty 4.30.
While yet another away win for Dyche's men might seem a little too unlikely to back outright, a bet on Burnley Draw No Bet at odds of 2/1 on the Sportsbook presents a lower risk alternative. The draw can be backed at around 3.40.

Goals look unlikely

While the styles of these two young English managers could hardly be more different, they have produced similar results between them on relatively tiny budgets. But while defensive tightness and boring results is something that most would associate with Dyche, it is also something Howe's team have been excelling at this season too.
Bournemouth have kept three successive clean sheets in the Premier League and have scored at less than a goal per game while Burnley stopper Nick Pope has conceded just four goals in his first 10 league starts.
While the Over/Under 2.5 Goals market seems to reflect this aversion to goalmouth action (Under 2.5 can be backed at a short 1.66), the Both Teams To Score(BTTS) market does not.
BTTS has landed just four times in Bournemouth's 13 games so far this season and four in Burnley's - a total of eight in 26, or less than a third. Selecting 'no' on BTTS at odds of around 1.90 (or 9/10 on the Sportsbook) therefore seems a good option.

Ref watch

The man in the middle for Wednesday night's game will be Roger East. The Wiltshire-based official has taken charge of 10 games across the top three leagues this season, handing out 41 yellow cards and two reds.
