Leicester still learning the Puel way

The fourth Premier League fixture of the Claude Puel era took the Foxes to east London and they scavenged a point to maintain their solidly mid-table position. An early Marc Albrighton goal gave Leicester a great platform for a win but a somewhat patchy performance against David Moyes' motivated side was not enough in the end.
Jamie Vardy assisted for the Foxes' goal and continues to be the main man for the 2015-16 Premier League champions. His pace on the break will be a vital weapon against Spurs.
Puel has a near fully-fit squad for this Tuesday night test with only long-term injured pair Robert Huth and Matty James unavailable.

Fatigued Spurs suffer another Wembley slump

Tottenham endured another afternoon of frustration at their temporary home last weekend when West Brom joined Burnley and Swansea in securing a draw from their trip to Wembley. I was in the stands to witness the match and it followed the usual blueprint for visiting teams with the Baggies sitting very deep and looking only to attack on the break.
Despite dominating possession, a tired looking Tottenham lacked the imagination to cut through their opponents with Christian Eriksen way off his sparkling best. The Dane looked like he could do with a rest and Mauricio Pochettino may shake things up for the club's second fixture in four days.
Harry Winks is a slight doubt with an illness, but the early injury news gives everyone bar long-term injured pair of Toby Alderweireld and Victor Wanyama a clean bill of health, including Erik Lamela.

Spurs odds-on to add another win to away record

Spurs' only away defeats have come at Old Trafford and The Emirates and they are the league's joint fourth highest scorers on the road. Indeed, they've picked up more points on their travels than every team bar Manchester City, Chelsea and, erm, Watford.
Contrast with Leicester's very indifferent home record - two wins, one draw, three defeats - and it's little surprise that Spurs are strong favourites to win this at 1.81.
The Foxes are 5.10 to take the three points and the draw is 4.00.

Goals look likely

The market points to goals at the King Power Stadium with overs the favourite at 1.86. That makes sense. Even though Spurs have one of the division's best backlines they've not been at the top of their game in recent weeks, only keeping a pair of clean sheets in the last two months and Alderweireld's absence is hurting them a little. Leicester should get their chances and we know that Spurs create on the road. And don't forget the result the last time these two met - a 6-1 thrashing as Tottenham ran riot with Kane scoring four and Heung-Min Son two.

Away win + goals = the bet

So where can we find a bet? Spurs' away record demands respect and if the visitors are on their game they should have too much firepower for the Foxes who look to be learning their lines under a new manager.
But this should be competitive and backing the away win with both teams scoring looks OK to my eye - the price of 3.50 on the Betfair Sportsbook is enough to tempt me in. If you are patient you may even get matched at a bigger price on the Exchange.
An Opta stat offers further encouragement - Leicester have kept only one clean sheet in their last 21 home fixtures against Spurs and that came back in September of 1997!

Ref Watch

Anthony Taylor takes charge of the match. Taylor is towards the upper end of the yellows per game table, averaging 3.88 across his eight Premier League fixtures. There has been no red card yet, however.
