All change at the bottom of the table
We were lead to believe that Saturday's action in the Premier League was to act mainly as an aperitif for what was to come on a Sunday that featured both the Merseyside and Manchester derbies.
However David Moyes didn't seem to get that message as the new West Ham boss saw his side battle to a 1-0 victory over Chelsea in a game that they started 1.51 favourites in. Chelsea threw everything at the Hammers but their defense was resolute after Marko Arnautovic netted in the sixth minute.
Antonio Conte said in his post-match interview "to face one game every two days always with the same players is very difficult. And we have just started this period." As a result they've drifted out to 60.00 to defend their league title.
Elsewhere in London, Spurs bounced back from a tough run of results in resounding fashion, sweeping aside Stoke City 5-1 and - whisper it quietly - perhaps banishing that 'Wembley hoodoo' in the process.
Pressure mounts however on Mark Hughes' side who have now slumped to three defeats in their last four and are very much looking down the table rather than up.
There were also positive results for both Huddersfield and Swansea who beat Brighton and West Brom respectively. Those games together with Crystal Palace's 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth produced some marked movement in the relegation market:

Sunday's early kick-off attempted to mirror the shock of West Ham toppling Chelsea, but Southampton couldn't hold on at St. Mary's as super-sub Olivier Giroud came on to score in the 88th minute and steal a point for Arsenal to keep their hopes of finishing in the top four alive, for which they're 2.80
At Anfield, Liverpool's 'fab four' of Salah, Mane, Firmino and Coutinho were fancied to run riot against an Everton side that have been flirting with relegation. However Big Sam continued to work his magic and conjured up another point for the Toffees in a game that went off at 6.20 to finish all square. It was Salah's 19th goal for Liverpool in 24 appearances and he's currently 5.80 to finish the season as the league's top goalscorer.
Sunday's main course in Manchester lived up to expectations as Man City ran out 2-1 winners after a dominant display that likely signals them as League Winners before Christmas has even arrived - now 1.09 to lift the trophy - matched at a high of 3.70 in May.
Man Utd wouldn't go away quietly as Marcus Rashford equalised shortly before half-time but City were imperious after the break as Nicolas Otamendi grabbed the winner to give them a 14th consecutive league win. Mourinho's men meanwhile have drifted out to 20.00 as a result.
