Is Bony recapturing his old Swansea form?

A big issue for Swansea this season has been a lack of goals, but they might have found a solution that gets them out of trouble.
With Gylfi Sigurdsson and Fernando Llorente having left in the summer, Swansea have lacked both creativity and a cutting edge. This has reduced them to playing without much ambition, keeping things tight and hoping that they grab a vital goal.
Without a regular goalscorer that's a policy that normally ends in relegation, but Wilfried Bony's recent form suggests that he could be that man. Bony has taken time to find fitness following his return to the club, but has now found the net in successive matches, including the winning goal against West Brom at the weekend. The Ivorian scored a goal every other game during his first spell in Wales and if he can recapture that sort of form, then Swansea could have a fighting chance of survival.
Bony might be fit at last but Paul Clement does have a couple of injury worries. Kyle Bartley is out and Wayne Routledge is a doubt for the visit of Manchester City.

Manchester City having to dig deep for victories

Manchester City took a big step towards winning the title with an away win at Manchester United at the weekend.
By beating their closest rivals at Old Trafford, Pep Guardiola's team moved eleven pointsclear at the top of the Premier League. If City can maintain their form over the Christmas period (W15 D1 L0) then they could go into the new year with a lead that is essentially unassailable.
While the early part of the season saw Manchester City thrashing teams, in recent weeks they have had to dig deep to grind out wins. Teams such as Southampton and West Ham have made it tough for City by sitting deep and it's fair to say that Swansea are likely to pose the same challenge.
Guardiola is likely to shuffle his pack after the emotionally draining game at the weekend, not least because Vincent Kompany suffered an injury that saw him withdrawn. Kompany joins fellow centre-back John Stones on the bench, while Benjamin Mendy remains out with a knee injury.

Another close with for Guardiola's side

Manchester City are the favourites at 1.26, with the draw at 7.00 and Swansea at 15.00.
City's last five wins have come by a single goal margin and this could be another close one, despite the difference in the two teams' league position.
Swansea have only lost by one goal in eight of their last nine Premier League defeats, which includes away matches against Arsenal and Chelsea. The odds of Manchester City to win by a single goal look like good value at 4.00.

Will Manchester City concede again?

Over 2.5 Goals is the favourite at 1.54, with unders at 2.66
All of City's last five games have seen three goals, so this price seems fair, if too short to recommend. Instead you could consider Both Teams To Score at 2.04 as City have conceded in all of these matches.

Aguero back to boost away record

Sergio Aguero looks set to return to the starting lineup after being left on the bench at Old Trafford. Aguero has scored seven goals in the last five away games he's played in and is available at 3.75 to open the scoring.
As previously mentioned, Wilfried Bony is back among the goals for Swansea and you can back him to add to his tally at 5.50.
