Wins a rarity for Leverkusen and Atletico

Atletico Madrid have the chance to book their place in the last-16 when they travel to Bayer Leverkusen.
Currently second in Group D but level on points with the leaders Juventus, a win could be enough if Juve can also beat Lokomotiv Moscow. Yet despite the fact that Atletico are on a lengthy unbeaten run, they cannot be relied upon to beat anyone right now.
Diego Simeone's team have not lost in eleven matches, but seven have been draws (W4). One of them came at the weekend when they drew 1-1 with Sevilla and the reverse fixture against Leverkusen also looked to be heading for a stalemate until Alvaro Morata scored a late winner.
That goal effectively ended any vague hopes that Bayer Leverkusen may have had of qualifying for the knockout stages. They have lost all three of their group games and are not doing particularly well back in Germany either. Tenth in the Bundesliga, Leverkusen's recent cup win against Paderborn is their only victory in the last seven games (D2 L4).

Undoubted talent awakens from slumber

Morata scored the winning goal when Atletico hosted Bayer Leverkusen and is finally becoming a player that Simeone can rely upon.
The striker has hardly been prolific since joining the club on loan from Chelsea last season, but in recent games he has been finding the net with regularity. Morata has scored in each of the last four matches for Atletico, grabbing the equaliser on Saturday against Sevilla. He is 3.20 to score, which seems a price more based upon his reputation as a striker that doesn't always deliver, rather than the hard facts concerning his current form.
