Crucial game for Group F rivals

The match between Borussia Dortmund and Inter is perhaps the most intriguing fixture in Matchday 4.
With the Group F leaders Barcelona looking assured of a place in the last-16, the second qualification spot is set to be fought over by Dortmund and Inter. It is the Italians that currently have occupancy of that second position, after their impressive 2-0 win in the reverse fixture in October.
That victory forms part of a five match unbeaten spell for Antonio Conte's side (W4 D1). At the weekend they came from behind to beat Bologna 2-1, thanks to a brace from Romelu Lukaku, which leaves them a point behind the Serie A leaders Juventus in second place.
Dortmund are also in second place in their domestic league, trailing Borussia Monchengladbach by three points. Since losing to Inter they are unbeaten in three (W2 D1), beating Wolfsburg 3-0 on Saturday.

Unbeaten home record will be maintained

With Dortmund and Inter only separated by goal difference, the result of this match could have a huge impact on the standings in Group F.
For Inter, it would seem likely that they best that they can hope is to avoid defeat. Borussia Dortmund are unbeaten at home this season, even though they have already hosted many top teams.
After kicking off the campaign with a 2-0 win over Bayern Munich in the Super Cup, Dortmund have drawn with Barcelona and recently beat Borussia Monchengladbach twice, in both the league and cup. Yet despite the signals towards a home win, the price of 3.70 for the draw appeals more. Inter have only lost one away game and that was a narrow defeat to Barcelona in which they deserved something from the match.
