Front runners meet in group of death

The top two teams in Group G clash on Tuesday when Zenit host RB Leipzig.

Though the leaders Leipzig and second placed Zenit occupy the two qualification positions for the last-16, there really is nothing between all four teams in the group. It always looked like the most evenly matched mini-league in this season's Champions League and so it's proved, with all four sides having suffered at least one defeat and only three points separating the bottom team Benfica from RB Leipzig.

The Germans moved top of the group with a 2-1 win over Zenit in the reverse fixture, in which they had to come from behind. Julian Nagelsmann's team come into the return match in unbelievable goalscoring form. They beat Mainz 8-0 at the weekend, having beaten Wolfsburg 6-1 away from home in midweek.

Zenit have responded well since losing to Leipzig. They bounced back with two wins and then drew 1-1 with CSKA Moscow at the weekend. Zenit remain top of the Russian Premier League by three points over Rostov.

Leipzig can continue scoring streak

As the outsider and with home advantage, the value seems to be with Zenit at 3.10, but results are proving to be difficult to predict in this tight group.

You will be on safe ground though to assume that there will be goals from either team. With RB Leipzig scoring so often of late, a home clean sheet seems unlikely. Zenit have scored and conceded in all three of their games in Group F, with Leipzig doing likewise in two of their three. Both teams to score is not a massive price at 1.61, but seems sure to land.
