Tobias Gourlay likes an odds-against bet on Serie A's basement battle to be unexpectedly entertaining
SPAL v Sampdoria
Monday 19:45
Kev won't be using that Palm reader again. Las Palmas crashed hard and early against Real Zaragoza. 2-0 down within 13 minutes, they ended up losing 0-3. Nevertheless, our man posted a profit for the week and we hope to emulate him over the next seven days.
We begin in Italy, where the Monday-night game from Serie A sees bottom-of-the-table Sampdoria travel to second-bottom SPAL. The visitors are now coached by Claudio Ranieri, who is no stranger to goals, and we like the 2.24 about Over 2.5 Goals in this one. Each of the last three head-to-heads have gone that way, including 2/2 at Stadio Paolo Mazza since SPAL returned to the top flight.
Samp, who finished ninth last season, have made a dreadful start to 2019/20. Through the first 10 rounds of the campaign, they've won only once and are a perfectly terrible W0-D0-L5 on the road. They've conceded at least twice in all five of those away games, but have scored themselves in 3/5. Two previous visits to teams currently in the wrong half of the table finished 1-2 and 1-4.

SPAL have a borderline respectable W2-D1-L2 home record this term. Four of those matches even came against sides now in the top half, but the Biancazzurri have scored in all five and will fancy their chances of netting against a weaker defence this evening. At the other end, SPAL have conceded in 4/5, so Sampdoria should not be without hope themselves. Our hope is that both teams can grab a goal or two, the match goes Over 2.5 Goals and we start the week with an odds-against winner.
