Troubled waters for PSG in France but cruising in Europe

A win for PSG over Club Brugge will see the French champions book their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
With PSG holding a five point lead over second placed Real Madrid in Group A, it seems likely that they will go into the last-16 as one of the seeded teams that have won their group. Qualifying from the group stage never seems to be a problem for PSG, but given their history in the knockout rounds their hopes of winning the competition look less likely than their odds of 8.20 suggest.
For by their own high standards, PSG are not even playing that well in France right now. On Saturday they were beaten 2-1 by Dijon, which was their third defeat in twelve Ligue 1 games this season (W9).
Club Brugge came close to pulling off a shock win against Real Madrid before drawing 2-2, back at the start of October, but their 5-0 home defeat to PSG suggests that they will struggle to spring any surprises here. Their loss to PSG was their only defeat of the season though and the First Division A leaders are since unbeaten in three (W2 D1).

PSG can score either side of break

PSG took an early lead after seven minutes in the reverse fixture against Club Brugge, before adding four more goals in the second-half.
They also scored in both halves, without reply, in the 3-0 win against Real Madrid that kicked off their Champions League campaign. Backing PSG to win both halves at 2.20 is one of the few ways to get a decent price for the home victory.
