What To Expect

Besides their full strength forward line, the Crows look almost unrecognisable in this one. They have several players recovering from injuries who are in a race to be fit for round 1. With injuries comes opportunities, and the likes of Curtly Hampton and Andy Otten have both put their hand up for a round 1 spot after playing well so far in the JLT series. The Lions have gone chips in for another win after defeating an understrength Western Bulldogs outfit last week. A win like that will give this Lions side an incredible boost of confidence heading into this fixture and further into round 1. Look for Dayne Beams to try and play 85% or more game time here to make sure his match fitness is ready for the season proper. With all the Adelaide outs it is tough to get a read on this game, though home ground advantage should still get the Crows over the line.
