Hull v Swansea
Saturday, 15:00

Hull

Though Marco Silva has undoubtedly done a good job since taking over at Hull, a daunting fixture list has limited the number of points his side have won since he joined in early January.

Hull have played Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal in 2017, while last weekend they faced a Leicester side that inconveniently have just woken up to the fact that they are the defending Premier League champions.

A haul of eight points from a possible 21 doesn't tell the true story of Hull's improvement under Silva, which kicked off with a 2-0 home FA Cup victory over Swansea. With Crystal Palace having now won two games in a row to climb out of the relegation zone, Hull really need to get back to winning ways and claim all three points on Saturday.

Silva's job has also been made harder by the large number of injuries he's had to contend with. Curtis Davies, Michael Dawson, Evandro, Markus Henriksen, Will Keane, Brian Lenihan, Greg Luer, Ryan Mason and Moses Odubajo are all currently out.

Swansea

Paul Clement is another manager whose short reign has seen his team face a disproportionate amount of top sides.

Swansea took only three points from games against Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea under Clement, but crucially have taken a maximum 12 points from their other four games.

Now five points clear of the relegation zone, Swansea will be looking to further distance themselves from trouble as they face three consecutive opponents that are also fighting against the drop.

Clement will be without the injured Nathan Dyer and Kyle Naughtion, but could have Ki Sung-Yueng and Jefferson Montero available again.

Ref Watch

Andre Marriner will take charge of this one. On the last occasion that he refereed a match featuring either of these clubs - Swansea's December clash with West Ham - he didn't show a single card.

Match Odds

Hull are the 2.58 favourites, with Swansea out at 3.10 and the draw at 3.35.

The Tigers are unbeaten in the five league and cup games they've played at home under Silva, winning four and drawing once. This run has included victories over Manchester United and Liverpool.

With that in mind, Hull look decent value in the Draw No Bet market at 1.72.

Over/Under 2.5 Goals

Unders is the favourite at 1.87, with overs at 2.10.

Only one of Hull's last five games has seen three goals or more, but Swansea have now scored in six consecutive matches, including away games at Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.

With the 2.5 goal market looking like it could go either way, back Both Teams To Score at 1.87. Hull have conceded in their last three games.

To Score

One of the biggest obstacles for Hull as they look to avoid relegation is the fact that they lack a reliable goalscorer, since selling Robert Snodgrass to West Ham in January.

Swansea are lucky enough to have two. Fernando Llorente has scored three goals in his last two games and leads the betting for the visitors at 3.25, while Gylfi Sigurdsson has hit seven goals this season and is available at 4.00.
