What To Expect

This match will go a long way in showing us how these sides will fare in 2017. The Tigers have been very impressive in their two matches thus far and have picked a very strong squad here. Coach Damian Hardwick has brought in a more defensive game plan and it has paid dividends already as they kept Port Adelaide to just 51 points last week. The Pies welcome back injury prone defender Ben Reid as he looks to get his body right in time for round 1. After going down on the siren to Fremantle, the Pies are one from two this pre-season after their comeback victory over Essendon in week 1. Pendlebury, Treloar and Adams all look set for big years though there is a concern over their depth in both the forward line and defence. In the last meeting between these two in Round 20, 2016, Richmond defeated the Pies by 15 and the Wolf expects a similar result in this one.
