Guingamp v Bastia (11th v 19th)
Sat, 19:00 GMT

Guingamp's form has gone downhill since the turn of the year but they should still be strong enough to beat a limited Bastia side this weekend.

Antoine Kombouare's hosts picked up a morale-boosting point at in-form Montpellier last weekend (1-1) and will be keen to build on that draw by collecting all 3pts at Stade du Roudourou on Saturday night. They have good team news and will be able to count on noisy support from fans that remain behind the team even though Guingamp have slipped down the Ligue 1 table a little since the start of the year.

Bastia are in the relegation zone and in serious danger of falling out of the top flight. Winless in 11 matches, they've drawn two games - 2-2 at home to Nantes and 0-0 at home to St Etienne - since Rui Almeida was appointed manager at the start of last week. They'll take a safety-first approach and would be happy with a draw but it's hard to see them holding out over 90 minutes against superior hosts who should be pumped-up to win.

Nancy v Lille (17th v 16th)
Sat, 19:00 GMT

Nancy's 1-0 defeat at PSG last weekend was their sixth game without winning (W0-D1-L5) and their sixth straight outing without scoring a goal.

Ligue 1's least prolific side, Nancy have been poor in front of goal all season and it's their lack of quality up front that means they're unlikely to take all 3pts from this home fixture against Lille.

The visitors are in mediocre form themselves but have greater individual and collective attacking potential than Nancy. The glut of transfer deadline-day signings that Lille made have yet to truly settle but manager Franck Passi does have talent at his disposal and should be able to fashion Lille into a team that can avoid defeat.

Lorient v PSG (20th v 2nd)
Sun, 20:00 GMT
Live on BT Sport Extra 2

There are some obvious doubts over how PSG will react after their shock Champions League exit at the hands of Barcelona on Wednesday night but they couldn't possibly wish for an easier game in Ligue 1 this weekend.

Hosts Lorient are rooted to the foot of the table, have been in the relegation zone for all but a couple of weekends this season and their confidence looks shot. Last weekend Lorient lost 4-1 at home to a Marseille side that was recently beaten 5-1 by PSG,. If the visitors play anywhere close to their potential they should run out comfortable winners.

Lorient's lack of morale and conviction in everything they did against Marseille last weekend suggested that some of their players no longer believe they can climb out of the bottom three. It's impossible to see the hosts putting up resistance against visitors that will have plenty to prove after their midweek horror show in Catalonia.
