Manchester United are 2.00 favourites in Betfair's Europa League winner market after they were drawn against Celta Vigo in the semi-finals of Europe's second-tier competition. Jose Mourinho's team needed an extra-time goal from Marcus Rashford to win their quarter-final against Anderlecht but bettors continue to back United win the Europa League for the first time in their history.

United will be pleased with the draw and, while they won't underestimate the Spanish side, they would probably have chosen to play them over either Ajax or Lyon who meet in the other semi-final. Even better for United, they get to play the first leg away from home on May 4 before hosting Celta at Old Trafford on May 11.

They will almost certainly be without top score Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Swede suffered a knee injury against Anderlecht. That could give Rashford the chance to thrive in the central striker's role. His opportunities have been limited this season but, with three goals in his last four matches, the 20-year-old is rediscovering the form that saw him make such an impressive impact last season.

With United four points off the top four of the Premier League, winning the Europa League is arguably their best route to qualifying for next season's Champions League. With every round that's passed, they've taken the tournament more seriously and Mourinho could start to prioritise its fixtures over domestic matches.
