Nice v Lazio
Thursday 19 October, 18:00
Live on BT Sport Extra
This is one of the most eye-catching games in the schedule, with both teams having exceeded expectations last season. Lazio are on a high after beating mighty Juventus for the second time this season, while Nice are struggling to recapture last season's form. It hasn't helped the southern French club that they lost full-backs Dalbert and Ricardo Pereira, and midfielder Wylan Cyprien is injured.
Nice have only won five of their 15 matches this season, and they go into this game having suffered back-to-back defeats in Ligue 1. Conversely, Lazio have won their last four games in all competitions, scoring 13 goals in the process. Simone Inzaghi's side have suffered only one defeat all campaign, and that was against Serie A leaders Napoli, who are yet to drop a point domestically.
Both teams have perfect records in the Europa League so far, but I'm backing Lazio to win what should be an entertaining game.

Atalanta v Apollon Limassol
Thursday 19 October, 20:05
Live on BT Sport Extra
Atalanta have made a fine start to their Europa League campaign, beating Everton 3-0 and drawing 1-1 in France against Lyon. In Serie A they have been disappointing though, collecting just nine points from their first eight matches.
Apollon held Lyon to a 1-1 draw on Matchday One, and then drew 2-2 at Everton. They Cypriot side scored late equalisers in both games, and the stats show that they are a resolute and determined outfit. They haven't lost by more than one goal in any of their last 16 UEL outings, and I think they can extend that streak.
It's worth remembering that Atalanta aren't playing at their usual home in Bergamo, but at the Mapei Stadium near Modena. They beat Everton 3-0 there on Matchday One, but the Toffees were truly dreadful that day.
I'm happy to give Apollon a goal-and-a-half start.

Zorya v Hertha Berlin
Thursday 19 October, 18:00
Live on BT Sport Extra
These are difficult times for Hertha Berlin. They have taken just one point from their two Europa League games, and on Saturday they suffered their first home defeat of the season. Schalke walked away from the capital with a 2-0 win, in a game where Hertha didn't have a single goal attempt in the first half.
Away from home, Hertha have lost three of their last four games in all competitions. If you stretch back into last season, they have lost 11 of the last 15 on the road, if you include a penalty shootout defeat at Borussia Dortmund.
Zorya lost their opener in the group stage at home to Ostersunds, but they bounced back superbly as they won 1-0 against Athletic Club in Bilbao. In their most recent domestic home game they held Dynamo Kiev to a 4-4 draw, coming back from 3-0 and 4-3 down to snatch a point.
Hertha are 2.18 favourites, and I can't fathom why. Pal Dardai's men really struggle away from the Olympiastadion, and they are on awful form.

BATE Borisov v FC Koln
Thursday 19 October, 18:00
Live on BT Sport Extra
Things change swiftly in football, and FC Koln have gone from heroes to zeroes in double-quick time. They are rock-bottom of the Bundesliga after collecting just one point from their first eight games, and their first European campaign for a quarter of a century has started with defeats against Arsenal and Crvena Zvezda.
Star striker Anthony Modeste has moved to China, his replacement Jhon Cordoba is injured, and so is the club's most influential player Jonas Hector. The rest of the players are suffering from a crippling crisis of confidence.
A trip to Belarus to face BATE Borisov is far from ideal. The hosts may have lost to Arsenal in their last European home game, but they have only lost one of their last ten Champions League games on home soil, and in that time they beat Roma and held Bayer Leverkusen to a draw.
With a crucial game against fellow strugglers Werder Bremen on the horizon, I'll be surprised if Koln pick a full-strength team here. I'm backing the hosts.
