Manchester United's record signing Angel Di Maria has finalised his move to Paris St-Germain for a reported fee of £44.3m.
The 27-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the French champions bringing to an end a troubled year in the Premier League with United.
He moved to Old Trafford a year ago for a British record fee of £59.7 from Real Madrid and began his time in English football well, being instrumental as United, after a slow start, began to climb the table.
However, his form suffered as the season progressed and he only started one of United's last 10 games amid rumours he was unsettled in England.
Di Maria said, following confirmation of his move to the French capital: "I am very proud, and can't wait, to wear the colours of Paris Saint-Germain.
"I want to win every competition we enter, both in France and Europe. I want to win the Champions League, which is a dream for all footballers, for a second time.
"We will do everything we can to bring Europe's biggest trophy to France and the fans of Paris Saint-Germain."
PSG’s president, Nasser Al Khelaifi spoke of his pride that Di Maria had chosen his club and said that his signing underlined the club’s ambitions of reaching the top of the European game.
PSG get the new Ligue 1 season underway with a trip to Lille on Friday night, while Manchester United are the first team in action in the new Premier League campaign.
Louis van Gaal's side, who are 1/4 to finish in the top four, are at home to Tottenham on Saturday lunchtime. They are 13/20 to get their season off to a winning start, Tottenham are 5/1 and the draw is priced at 3/1.
