Angel Di Maria is set to undergo a medical within the next 24 hours ahead of a proposed move from Manchester United to Paris St-Germain.
The Sunday Mirror reports that the winger is expected to meet PSG officials in Doha later on Sunday. Di Maria did not join up with the United squad on their pre-season tour of the United States after featuring in the Copa America earlier in the summer.
The Argentina international arrived at Old Trafford last August in a British record £59.7million deal, but his form petered out after a strong start.
He contributed a goal and an assist in three of his first four games, but had only started one match since United's defeat in the FA Cup quarter-finals to Arsenal on 9th March.
The fee for the 27-year-old is believed to be in the region of £46million.
Meanwhile, United manager Louis van Gaal has admitted he is not sure whether his side can compete for the Premier League title this season.
The Mail on Sunday reports that the Dutchman is concerned by a lack of pace in the side and admits he hopes to address this before the transfer window closes.
He said: "We're not on schedule to be champions because we need speed and creativity at the front.
"Whether we can win the title [in the next two seasons] is dependable if we can buy players with speed and creativity.
"The hardest decisions are always which players you buy and which have to go. We know the Premier League is different to all the other leagues and players have to adapt."
United are 5/1 to win the Premier League title in 2015-16, with defending champions Chelsea 6/4 and bitter rivals Manchester City 11/4.
