Galway United v Limerick
Friday July 07, 19:45

There were two reasons to be cheerful after last night's Europa League action. Shamrock Rovers edged out Stjarnan 1-0, and a late flourish from Beitar Jerusalem saw them win 3-0 at Vasas and secure our Over 2.5 Goals bet.

Shamrock Rovers' win has given us a spring in our step and a reason to stay on the Emerald Isle, so tonight we're checking out the top-flight clash between rock-bottom Galway United and mid-table Limerick.

Galway United are on dreadful form. They have only won twice all season, they haven't taken maximum points from a match since mid-May, and they have collected just two points from the last seven outings. They have only scored ten goals in ten games at Eamonn Deacy Park, and have lost their last two matches in front of their own fans.

Limerick are an entertaining watch, having scored 30 goals and conceded 30. They have won four and lost four away from home, but it's worth noting that three of those victories were against sides in the bottom half, which bodes well ahead of tonight.

Limerick were promoted as First Division champions, and they are a full ten points clear of the relegation zone. They can be backed Draw No Bet at 1.83, and against a Galway side on awful form, I'm happy to go for that price.
