Porto need a win to reach last-16

Porto have their destiny in their own hands as they take on Monaco in the final game in Group G.

A win would guarantee qualification for the last-16 in second place, behind the group winners Besiktas. Porto are currently second, ahead of third placed RB Leipzig by way of their superior head-to-head record.

Yet Sergio Conceicao's side come into this match without a win in their last three games. This included a 0-0 draw at home to their rivals Benfica at the weekend, but the good news is that Monaco are also struggling to win games of late.

Last season's Champions League semi-finalists have been poor in the competition during this campaign, but their domestic form has held up until recent weeks. Their 1-0 home win over Angers on Saturday was their first victory in four games and ended a run of three consecutive losses.

Monaco's attacking threat can deliver

Porto are the 1.35 favourites, with the draw at 5.80 and Monaco at 10.00.

Although Monaco have nothing to play for, it's a very short price for Porto against a side that have picked up both of their two points in the group in away games. For that reason it's best to avoid the match result markets and instead look forward to a match that should see goals.
