No place like home for Huddersfield

It must be a relief for Huddersfield these days when a home fixture comes around.
The Terriers have not won away this season since the opening day when they shocked Crystal Palace. From a possible 24 points, Huddersfield have won just four on the road and have lost their last five away trips.
It's not hard to see why their away record has been so poor when you consider that they have not scored a single away goal since hitting three at Selhurst Park. Fortunately Huddersfield's home form is keeping them adrift of the relegation zone. They have taken a more healthy eleven points from a possible 21 at the John Smith's Stadium, which is a good record considering that Huddersfield have already hosted Spurs, Manchester United and Manchester City.
David Wagner's job has got more difficult in recent weeks, having lost a trio of players to long-term injury. Philip Billing, Michael Hefele and Jon Gorenc Stankovic are all out, while Rajiv van La Parra is suspended.

Brighton competitive with all but the best

Unlike the hosts, Brighton have fared pretty well away from home this season, winning two of their last three away games.
The Seagulls come into this match without a victory in four matches, but with their two defeats in this period coming against Manchester United and Liverpool, there's no reason to think that Brighton are in any kind of downward spiral.
Indeed, of their six defeats this season, four have come against teams currently occupying the top five positions in the Premier League. The 5-1 home defeat to Liverpool last weekend was the first time that Brighton have been really outclassed, so Chris Hughton will doubtless be keen to swiftly get back to picking up points to blow away any impending crisis of confidence.
In contrast to his opponent, Hughton has almost a fully fit squad to choose from, with only Steve Sidwell out injured.

Draw is a short price for a reason

Huddersfield are the narrow favourites at 2.72, with the draw and a Brighton win both priced at 3.10.
The relatively short price for the draw illustrates that this is a tough one to call, with Huddersfield in good home form and Brighton capable of picking up points on their travels. Brighton have drawn four of their last eight games and another stalemate could be on the cards.
Huddersfield won this fixture in the Championship last season and if you think that the home side can win it against a Brighton team that have just suffered a heavy defeat, go for the Terriers in the Draw No Bet market at 1.85.

Don't trust wounded defences

Under 2.5 goals is the heavy favourite at 1.48, with overs at 2.76.
It's not difficult to see why. Neither side have a reliable goalscorer and Huddersfield have managed to keep three home clean sheets since winning promotion to the Premier League.
Yet with Huddersfield having conceded 13 goals in their last four games and Brighton having just let in five, there's hope that these defences are sufficiently wounded for there to be goals in this match. Both Teams To Score is priced at 2.20.
