Lots of Premier League football over the next few weeks that could make or break your fantasy season. Neil Monnery is here with his look at the best and worst options ahead of GW 16...
Eight to like
Abdoulaye Doucouré - £5.4m. Five goals so far this term for the price of a bench midfielder is quite impressive. Having flown under the radar early on, he's now been selected by 15.9% of teams. One worry is he's still to net an assist but that is a small issue. Burnley away on Saturday.
Riyad Mahrez - £8.4m. The Algerian is a very streaky player but he's certainly on an upswing at the moment. Two reasons I like him this week, first of all the opponent, Newcastle. The last time they played at home, Watford took them apart. Secondly we are coming up to the January transfer window and he's playing for a move away. Like him a lot.

Christian Benteke - £7.6m. He has to come good soon surely? This is a pick based solely onpast performance and the expectation that he's moving towards full match sharpness. Bournemouth at home and Watford away in the next two. If you want a mid-priced third striker then it is time to roll the dice on the Belgian international.

Jesse Lingard - £5.8m. Only 1% of teams currently have the young Englishman but expect that to rocket up in the very near future. Following two outstanding displays, it looks like he's got the nod to play wide. If he carries on the form he's shown in the past couple of games, he's a steal. The Manchester Derby isn't an ideal spot to bring him in but if they play on the break, he could surprise.
Eden Hazard - £10.8m. I try not to write about the obvious big names in the players to like section but you can't ignore the form of the Chelsea number ten. Twice in the past four games he's scored a brace. West Ham away gives a great opportunity for him to use his vision and skill to open up the Hammers defence.

Mo Salah, Sadio Mané & Philippe Coutinho - Various. Last week I wrote about these three and Liverpool went and plundered five against Brighton. In midweek Liverpool scored seven in the Champions League. This weekend it is the Merseyside Derby. It would be a stunner if they didn't come out firing on all cylinders once again. It is approaching the time where you should consider two Liverpool midfielders if you can afford it.

Watford Defenders - Various. This is all about looking at the schedule. Watford's next four games are Burnley (a), Crystal Palace (a), Huddersfield (h) and Brighton (a). They've been decent at the back for the majority of the season but with no potent offence to be seen until the New Year, now is the time to pickup one of Marco Silva's defensive players.

Two to avoid
Leroy Sané - £8.8m. It is hard to have a bad feeling about a Manchester City attack minded player but the young German hasn't scored for five games. His form has dipped and with the Manchester Derby on Sunday, I might be looking elsewhere short-term at the price he's currently at.
Rob Elliot - £4.2m. Over one in four teams have him and I suspect it is solely because of his price. He's kept one clean sheet in the past 11 games. That isn't getting it done for fantasy purposes. It is better to spent that extra 300k and get one of the several better options at £4.5m

Captain's pick
I'm looking hard at Morata and Hazard this week as I would not be surprised to see Chelsea turn it on at the Olympic Stadium. You can't put a foot wrong with any Liverpool attacker at the moment. Newcastle away is a spot for anyone with an attacker in their squad so give careful consideration to Jamie Vardy as well.
