There will be a common theme in The Wolf’s tips in the second round matches – Overs betting. The courts are playing fast and players have been winning a high percentage of points on serve. With some of the totals set lower than expected, Overs betting will be the theme of the day.
Feature Previews
Grigor Dimitrov v Feliciano Lopez
There has been nothing between them in the past and this one should be no exception. They have two wins a piece with three of them coming on the grass courts of Queen’s. Dimitrov won their only meeting on a hard court and it came last year here in Cincinnati. It took a 3rd set breaker and more than half of the sets they have contested have been settle by either a breaker or a 7-5 scoreline. There has been at least one breaker in 11 of the last 13 Lopez matches and we are likely to see multiple breakers in this one.
Best Bet: Over 23.5 games ($1.83)
Nick Kyrgios v Aleksandr Dolgopolov
Aussie Nick Kyrgios continues to be the most unpredictable player on the tour. In his match against Goffin he was down 0-40 in the opening game of the match and serve two second serve aces to get out of the jam and then went on to roll Goffin. Most players have trouble facing big servers but not Dolgopolov. The Ukranian has already accounted for Opelka and Anderson this week – two of the biggest servers on tour. He loves the ball coming onto the racquet and Kyrgios won’t be able to simply blast his way past Dolgopolov. The Wolf says to continue fading Kyrgios.
Best: Over 22.5 games ($1.80)
Adrian Mannarino v Sam Querrey
People will look at the price on offer for Querrey and think they should be flexing their muscles. The Wolf warns against it and says to be very careful as Mannarino holds a 2-0 advantage in the H2H. This has epic battle written all over it. Both men are in career best form. Mannarino made the final of Antalya before a 4th round appearance at Wimbledon and has since followed it up with back to back quarter finals in Los Cabos and Montreal. Querrey made his mark with a run to the semi’s at Wimbledon but it hasn’t stopped there. He went on a title winning run in Los Cabos and won his opening match here 6-3 6-0. Their two meetings make for interesting viewing. With 4 of the 7 sets contested by the pair being decided by a tiebreaker The Wolf says to get right around the Overs.
Best Bet: Over 25.5 games ($1.85)
