Barcelona v Juventus – Sunday 8:00am AEST

The Wolf is shocked as to  how little business Barca have been involved in thus far. To date is it has been all rumours. We could see Neymar move to PSG for a record 222 millions Euro’s but his departure could see the arrival of a number of players to the Nou Camp including Coutinho and Mbappe. With arch rivals Real Madrid doing the league and UCL double last season you can be sure they will not be sitting on their hands!

Juventus on the other hand have been very busy. Long time stalwart at the back Leonardo Bonucci has departed for AC Milan but has been replaced by Benatia from Bayern Munich for less than half the price. Cuadrado and Szczesny have been signed following successful loan stints last season with the biggest addition being Douglass Costa – also from Bayern. He has initially been signed on loan with an option to buy. They have however lost tha man that The Wolf says was their best last year – Dani Alves. The veteran Brazilian was outstanding down the right flank but has joined a stack of countryman at PSG.

This is the first match of the new season for both teams and The Wolf is expecting a slow start as a result. Juventus cancelled what was supposed to be two friendlies in Mexico and it will be interesting to see just how the new additions fit in to Allegri’s plans. Barca have been historically poor at this tournament. We saw them lose 4-0 to Liverpool last year and they have won just 2 of their last 6. The scorelines reflect that they clearly take the foot of the pedal defensively. They have conceded multiple goals in 4 of their last 5 ICC matches with 4 or more total goals in each of those matches. Juve has played 5 matches in the ICC and lost 3 of them on penalties. We will see both teams find the net with regularity.

Best Bet: Both Teams To Score – YES ($1.53)
Value: Juventus Over 1.5 goals ($2.45)

PSG v Tottenham – Sunday 10:00am AEST

As mentioned PSG look set to break the bank in the pursuit of Neymar and they are also eyeing off Alexis Sanchez – all after getting Dani Alves on a free. The Wolf says it could all come crashing down though if they are unable to keep Verratti. The pivotal midfielder has been linked with several clubs including Man Utd.

While PSG and other big clubs splash the cash and buy stars, Spurs continue to produce talented players of the highest order. We seem to forget that Bale and Modric once called White Hart Lane home and Kyle Walker has been the latest to join the departure list – going to rivals Man City for a fee in excess of €50 million. Nevertheless, The Wolf says their consistency in the EPL in recent seasons in unrivaled and they will again contend for the title. They are looking at proven Premier League players like Mahrez and Barkley along with some support for Harry Kane. Pochettino has been patient and The Wolf think he will get it right.

Spurs finished with the best attack and best defence in the EPL last season and a full two months off has provided the squad with much needed rest. PSG opened their ICC campaign with a shootout win over Roma in a game that produced very few chances. PSG have been the standout team in this tournament in recent years. They have lost just 1 of 8 matches and that came via penalties. Wins over Man Utd, Inter, Leicester and Real Madrid has seen them lift this trophy each of the last two years. With Spurs having their first run of the season The Wolf is predicting PSG’s winning ways to continue.

Best: PSG WIN ($1.90)
Value: HT/FT – PG/PSG ($3.10)

Upcoming Matches
Mon: Real Madrid v Man Utd
Tue: Inter v Lyon
