Napoli and Feyenoord look to recover from defeats
Napoli have made the perfect start to their Serie A season, but are looking to bounce back from a surprise Champions League defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk.
Maurizio Sarri's side lead Serie A ahead of Juventus on goal difference, after winning their sixth consecutive league match at the weekend, with a 3-2 victory at SPAL. They now need another victory when they face Feyenoord on Tuesday, as Napoli look to make up lost ground in a competitive Champions League group that includes Manchester City.
City beat Feyenood 4-0 in the other opening match in Group F, sparking a poor run of form from the Dutch champions. Feyenoord have subsequently lost both of their league games, with PSV beating them 1-0 and newly promoted NAC Breda pulling off a shock 2-0 win at De Kuip at the weekend.
Despite these losses, Feyenoord are well positioned in the Eredivisie. After winning their first four matches they are only three points behind the leaders PSV, but their Champions League campaign looks less promising, especially after Shakhtar's shock win.
Italians can restore defensive solidity
Napoli are so short to win at 1.18, that it's hard to find a good value bet in any of the results markets.
One opportunity comes from their recent defensive laxness. Napoli have conceded five goals in their last four games, but there is reason to think that they can keep a clean sheet against Feyenoord.
The Italians did not concede in either of their tough qualifying matches against Nice and kept clean sheets in two of their last four Serie A outings. Feyenoord have failed to find their net in three of their last four matches, making the odds of 2.00 for Napoli to Win To Nil a decent bet.
